Paul L. Criswell P.C.
I began my career as an Associate with the Boston firm of Sullivan & Worcester in 1980. Then, from 1983 to 1986, I was a Staff Attorney with Digital Equipment Corporation. From 1986 until 1996, I was Counsel to Stratus Computer, Inc., where I sharpened my skills in the technology and telecom marketplaces. I joined VideoServer, Inc. as General Counsel from 1996 to 1999. Today I am an Independent General Counsel providing legal services to technology companies.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1975 and a Master’s degree in 1976. I obtained a J.D. with Honors from the University of Michigan Law School in 1980. I am active in a number of areas:
- Mediation Panel, Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York 2018 to present
- Harvard Mediation Program, Court Coordinator, Instructor, mediator 2014 to present
- Editor, ITech Law Association, eNews Publication 2012 to 2018
- Board of Directors, Wellesley Municipal Light Plant, 2008 to present
- Town Meeting Member, Town of Wellesley, 2000 – present
- Contributing Editor, Bowne Digest for Corporate and Securities Lawyers, 1990 – 2005
- Adjunct Professor, Massachusetts School of Law, (I taught courses in Computer Law, Securities Law and Negotiation for Lawyers) 1992 – 1996
